Board of Directors

ACE is a not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of parents of children currently or formerly enrolled at ACE. The Board is comprised of the Executive, all current parents, and a number of Directors-at-Large, all of whom are current and former ACE parents. Members of the Board or Directors are elected by ACE parents at the Annual General Meeting. 

 The Board and the Executive Director hold monthly meetings to establish and govern policy affairs, to monitor and evaluate the Centre’s performance and to assist with the development of growth strategies. The Board is also responsible for managing the Centre’s finances.  The Board carries out its work through Standing Committees. These committees may vary from year to year, depending on the goals of the Centre and the Society, but typically include Child Wellness, Finance, Fundraising and Human Resources. If urgent or specific needs arise, task force committees may are also be formed, as required.
